We decided to do this when we kept running into problems determining what time things were happening, even within our own internal staff! "So.. They want to do it at 4pm Pacific…. so that's.. 7 Eastern… what time would that be in the UK? Or Sweden? Or Israel?.. Is Russia the same as Israel or an hour ahead?!"

So we wrote our own dynamic time engine for the site that displays pretty much everything time related, from event times, to the request queue, in your own local timezone. This makes it easy for anyone to know what time things are happening, local to them!

That's why we ask you to set your timezone in the upper right widget the first time you visit the site. If you don't set one, it defaults to Central US time, because that's the timezone the server is located in!

For anyone WordPress savvy that's interested in how it works, it's a shortcode-based system where you use a shortcode, define the original time in the original timezone inside the shortcode, and it automatically converts it for anyone visiting!

Comment time… listened on stream but only now I got time to comment.
So, except standard words like "it was awesome" like it always is, here is what I think: at first, even if I like Silvas' songs I'm not fan of full-ripped-dialogs songs, but beside that instrumentals of that song was still good, then I was just listening to well made conposition of mostly instrumental songs and at the end I was like in heaven. Because of time zones I was actually going directly to sleep after stream and the end of that set couldn't ended my day better. Thank you guys for amazing work.
P.S.: I don't know if it's on request or how but usually after stream end, previous set is played, now it wasn't.

Someone was kind enough to point me in the direction of this brilliant article. Firstly, thanks so much for the shout-out!

Secondly, it's lovely to see people taking an interest in the Japanese fandom. I personally don't know much about it myself but my personal take on it is that I feel it would actually be a shame to see MLP:FiM translated into Japanese. In Japan, gender divides are very clear– a Japanese company would see this as being marketed at little girls and, sadly, it would be translated as such (using feminine language, for example). The fanbase in Japan is, whilst vocal, probably not big enough to steer the show in as many directions as it has been steered over here. In Japan, TV bosses are the ones very much in control of the way animations go. As such, I feel seeing the show given to Japan would be a shame as I feel it may be skewed into something that it is not.

Which is partly why I do my dubs! I'd love to see a MLP:FiM dub done in a style similar to an anime so I try to make my dubs just that. I sadly believe that the show being given to Japan would not do it any favours so I try to keep the spirit and translations as honest to the original as possible.

But that aside, what a great article to read! Five minutes over a coffee well spent. Thank you so much for writing it!

About Vinyl, in her scene, she is in nighttime shadow, as the main, full colour focus is on Shining and Cadence. If Vinyl's colour is corrected so that her colour matches the official one, her eyes are red. Not full blood red, but red nonetheless.

Gonna be honest, I checked out EverFree Radio after someone mentioned on a site I talk about ponies on. Along with the audio stream, I enjoyed this podcast! Not only the review reminded me of the best parts, but the clever "talk-radio" style, and the song/remix at the end (listening to now actually). Keep up the great work, it felt like listening to a real radio, even though it's just an AAA battery powered MP3 player!

As for the episodes, I usually catch them late on Hub's website thanks to no cable. Since Hub was pushing it and my neighbor who has cable saw the ads, she let me come over to watch and record it. Loved it, I laughed, I cried, my mind was blown! Even my mother enjoyed it (eeyup, I got her into ponies too). If Hasbro released this on DVD, I'd definitely buy it first day.

Candence spell is a 'broken hear mending' or 'repair broken love' type of spell. I would imagine, from the little they show of it, requires two ponies that love each other and fixes anything that bars them from loving each other.

Also, green magic isnt all bad ponies…a Gaurd in Sweet and Elite uses green magic to let Rarity into the back area.

Luna is best pony

Also Titan A.E. has that reflected surface bit with a bad guy chase.

Shining Armor is only good at his shield spell, hence his name…As stated in Boast Busters, Unicorns are good with magic that deal with their talent (ie cutie mark) so as such, his raw power, is probly high yes, as a weak shield is a worthless sheild after all. We see him cut an apple as the only other significant spell casting. I dont think saying Twilights family is all powerful magic users, as a stand alone statement.

I loved the finale, when it ended it hit me that there are no more episode until season 3! The finale left wanting to see more and I'm looking forward to season 3.

This is the first time I have ever followed a TV series up to the end of a season ever. Most of the time I would get interested with a show; thinks it's great and as the the number of episodes increased, my love for the show decreased because the characters became more and unlikable until I eventually stop following the show all together. MLPFIM has done nothing but amaze me with each episode. I can now officially call myself a brony because I love the show, I followed it for a full season never missed an episode, I sat in to watch the bronycon stream in January, I love the work that fan's are doing and now that season 2 is over I am left with the same kind of feeling that you get when a good friend goes away for awhile, you know they are coming back but still your sad to see them go. I am happy to be part of this fan community and it's a lot of fun just being in it.

One of the things that I looked forward to every weekend was listening to EFR, I love what you guys are doing. I love the episode reviews, the interviews with the cast and crew of the show and with some of the most prominent names of the fan community like Mandopony and others, as well as the streaming of Bronycon. I'm glad to hear you guys are going to be reviewing Season 1, even though I have already watched it in it's entirety and have my own thoughts about it, but that's not the point. I love listening to your reviews because I like hearing what other people think so I will definitely be following you guys for that and I'm looking forward to it.
